BIOGRAPHY
Chris McAdoo's work is recognizable for its strong, confident marks and bold statements of color. His art has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications across the country.
Born in East Tennessee, Chris learned the value of hard work at an early age. Combining his work ethic with his passion and innate talent for art, he launched his own printmaking and design company at the age of 22. His talent and unique flair led him to work with entertainment legends like country superstar Dolly Parton and the Beach Boys Brian Wilson.
After leaving the printmaking business behind, he went on to serve as an art director in Knoxville, Tennessee. However, his true passion and talent as an artist have brought him back off the grid making art full-time.
"I hope that I can put things on paper that are honest expressions of what I see. Art is a powerful tool of self expression that I am constantly trying to get a grip on, says McAdoo. I wake up every morning and know that there is something new...an idea, a mark, a new inspiration that will carry me through to the next piece."
McAdoo lives in Knoxville with his wife and son, where they sit on the roof of their house and watch airplanes defy gravity.
